Teaching

A self-proclaimed Bardolator, I am a lover of all things Shakespeare. My passion for the bard and lifelong learning led me to a career in education. I am proud to serve as the Humanities Academic Director at Spartanburg Community College (SCC) in Spartanburg, South Carolina where I share my excitement for learning in my English, Theatre, and Humanities courses.

Prior to teaching at SCC, I was an English teacher at Gaffney Senior High School (GHS) in my hometown of Gaffney, South Carolina. In my three years experience at GHS, I had varied schedules teaching different levels of 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th grade, and Public Speaking courses.

However, South Carolina is not the only place where I have been an educator; my Fulbright opportunity took me to South and Central Asia. As a Fulbright Teaching Scholar, I taught English and Theatre to college students and shared an array of pedagogical techniques with faculty at different universities.

    Exploring

I'm always looking for an amazing adventure! My most unique experience was traveling to France, dressing in my best eighteenth century attire, and attending the Grand Masked Ball at the Palace of Versailles.
